2025. Earthware, 555 timer, 7-segment display. Interactive installation.Random numbers are critical for cyber security and encryption. In our daily life, we receive on our phones or in email verification codes that protect us against identity theft. We’re reassured that it’s safe to proceed.
The artist made a random number generator with clay and electronic parts to perform security rituals on people or things, hoping to offer a sense of security in all kinds of situations in life. The 7-segment display on the device shows inverted numbers to help the visitors focus on the spiritual aspects of the random numbers.
Inverted numbers:
The visitors copy the inverted random code onto their card.
The surrounding trees are also secured and marked with crocheted bands.
